"Summer comes in my life, I leave everything and I will leave ..."

It is the holiday season, the moment when the romances whose beauty is known by now become more flirtatious, more concerned about their appearance and what is most important for their health. The model of the classic holiday with the Romanians is the one spent on the seashore, the impeccable tan to end the holiday being the target of all, as well as the memories found in the photo album. But so that the holiday is not overshadowed by conditions specific to the summer pathology, let us briefly review some seasonal tips.

Dermatologist specialists warn us that excessive sun exposure prematurely ages the skin, favors the multiplication of pigment nerves and especially warns us against the most reducible risk - malignant melanoma (skin cancer).

They are perfectly right. And yet, we can reduce these risks if we follow certain rules; thus, the sun exposure will be gradual and only after the (repeated) application of protective creams, sunscreens. They provide maximum protection against burns caused by ultraviolet UVB rays of medium wavelength and do not provide protection against UVA, which tunes.
The protective factor used varies between 2-60 and will be used differentially depending on the type of skin, the highest value, so the maximum protection will be intended for children. We must pay special attention to them, so that they will have their head covered permanently with light colored hats, they will be properly hydrated and for maximum safety on bright sun days they will wear shirts both on the beach and in the water.
In the unwanted case of the appearance of sunburn (areas of skin inflammation with edema, erythema, bladder and later changes of pigmentation and discoloration of the skin), the skin will be covered with moist, refreshing, soothing bandages; for more severe burns, spray-lotion will be used hydrocortisone and oxytetracycline. When fever occurs and pain will be used as a general treatment for aspirin (it seems that prostaglandins are involved in erythema). If sunburn occurs in children, avoid aspirin and use paracetamol or ibuprofen.
Another type of illness that often accompanies sunburn is sunstroke (prolonged exposure
in an excessively hot environment, accompanied by inadequate saline intake, characterized by dehydration, sodium depletion and even cardio-vascular disorders). The patient is weak, has a severe thirst and neurological symptoms: headache (headache), fatigue. The treatment consists of placing it in a cool, shaded environment and administering liquids (1-2 liters in 2-4 hours for an adult). When oral hydration is not possible, the patient requires intravenous emergency treatment with physiological serum or isotonic glucose solution. In the high seas diet should be easy, Mediterranean type (fruits, vegetables, dairy, white meat, olive oil), without caloric excess and alcohol, especially during lunch. Changing the climate, the type of nutrition, the sanitary standards favors the appearance of another type of pathology - travel diarrhea. If the stools are thick, watery but without blood, mucus, pus and the patient has a good overall condition, the condition is mild and requires first of all hydration and a light diet based on rice, cow cheese, peppermint tea. It can be administered diosmectita. In pharmacies there are hydration serums, or they can be prepared as needed according to the formula: 1 teaspoon of kitchen salt (3.5 g) + 1 teaspoon of baking soda (2.5 g) + 8 teaspoons of sugar + 240 ml of natural orange juice + fill up to one liter with plain water (or boiled and cooled).

When there are general manifestations, systemic, fever, vomiting and bloody stools are required antibiotics (quinolones for adults, cotrimoxazole for children, but the antibiotic will be given only after the doctor's advice). The most important measure of treatment in diarrheal diseases, especially in children, is rehydration; prophylactically avoid food insufficiently thermally prepared and drink only bottled water. On the coast it is more recommended to swim in sea water than in the pool. Swimming is done within the limits of individual effort tolerance and with respect to the dangers imposed by the sea (high waves, strong wind, low sea water temperatures). There is a remarkable ophthalmological pathology related to the water of the swimming pools - irritant or viral conjunctivitis, which is noisy (red eyes, heavy tears, sandy sensation in the eyes) and for which it is absolutely necessary to consult an ophthalmologist.

The topless subject is a debatable one; In addition to the sunburns that are much more powerful at the level of the breasts, there is a truth that the Italians express by "sight, non sight" which could be translated like this: the suggestion of an image full of wine is much more " succulent »than its direct exposure.
Let's do the first aid kit together, recap:
Sun burns
- FPS protective creams
- spray with hydrocortisone and oxytetracycline
Insolation - aspirin, algocalmin adults
- paracetamol, ibuprofen children
Mild diarrheal diseases - diosmectite, calcium carbonate powder, peppermint tea, rehydration salts
Severe diarrheal disease - antibiotic therapy at the doctor's suggestion
Insect stings - antihistamine gel
dyspepsia - antispastic, antiemetic, proton pump inhibitors.
Don't forget the camera! It is a "must have" and for successful pictures, try the sunset; the features are more destined, the light is sweet and the bronze is heavy.
